Wordnik is all the words and everything about them”         *quoted from their website
Creative, visual, contextual, historical, current, and traditional, are all ways of describing this most unique site. Words randomly float down in
Wordnik, just waiting to be clicked on!  When you click on them you get a fantastic array of informational links, images, and sound. I will use this site as an idea generator to brainstorm with my students.

Today I accidently came across Dan Reeder’s Paper Mache video “Sea Dragon” on Vimeo. Wow! I loved it and wanted to see more, so I found his website and blog.

If you are planning to teach a 3D unit that encompasses Paper Mache, Dan’s videos are a must see!
Dan Reeder whips up incredible Paper Mache creations.

Smo.re is a publishing platform that allows anyone to create a published post. Within the published post, links, images and text can all be included. Smo.re then produces a URL which can be linked into a Blog, website or email. This is a great way to have students create a quick webpage! I can see many uses for this in the visual arts classroom. I created one in 3 minutes! * note….presently smo.re does not work in internet explorer.

Do it tomorrow is a very simple and easy to use online list keeping tool. It allows you to procrastinate by moving unfinished to do items ahead to the next day! Love that!
Do it tomorrow is un-complicated, clear, and exceptionally visual.

Automatoon is the best online animation creation site that I have come across yet. It’s easy to use, has great directions, and it allows you to create your animations from your own individual drawings on their site as well as the importation of images. There are 3 steps…DRAW….ANIMATE…FINISH. Your animations are easily shared and embeddable. Can’t wait to have my students give this site a try!
