Star Alliance is a beautiful stop motion film designed and animated by Andersen M Studio. This would be a great video to show when doing paper sculpture with students. * From Illusion scene 360
Tiki-Toki is a brand new web site app that allows you to create beautiful interactive timelines, embedding video, and images as you create. Tiki-Toki is great place to have students create a Biography or tell the story of a movement in Art History. The history of photography or graphic design comes to mind. It just opened to the public!
Eskeletons is an interactive environment that examines skeletal anatomy. The purpose of this site is to allow you to view human and non-human bones of primates. This is a great site for artists to use when looking at skeletons of animals and humans for figurative drawing or sculpture. Previously on my blog I reviewed Google Body Browser which is also an extremely comprehensive site.
LucidChart is a comprehensive mapping and brainstorming tool. I really like that you can add your own images. I envision using this tool to compare and contrast artwork.
Google For Teachers is one of the most comprehensive resources I have seen so far for everything that can be done using google apps. Want to create free websites, Forms, presentations, spreadsheets, shared documents and folders?…….This free Ebook by Richard Byrne is chock full of information and resources.
Empressr is a place to create online digital stories. There are multiple advantages to using this online site. Digital stories created on Empressr can be embedded into a website or a blog, and no downloads are necessary. I like the fact that you can upload video, your own images, audio, and make your digital story private. It’s easy to understand and use.
One of the best presentations at the NAEA conference in Seattle was one that I just came out of; because it talked about Glow.
