Planboard is a free online planbook that will make lesson planning a breeze. Incorporate standards, video, images, sticky notes and just about any kind of file you can think of. It’s easily set up and has no software to download.
Twitter:
Twitter is an invaluable professional learning network, and it has enriched my teaching and learning in ways that I never thought possible. Art Educators, Librarians, Principals, Science Educators, Museums, Technology Educators and many more are all on Twitter conversing and sharing. It’s been such a rich experience to be a part of. There are multiple educational twitter chats of every possible discipline available every day on Twitter through the use of hashtags. I found that Cybrary Man’s Twitter site is an excellent source to learn and to get started.
Remind:
Remind, formally (Remind101) is a safe way to text message assignments, attaching documents & images as well as reminders to your classes. Students/parents join Remind by sending a text message using a numeric code. Phone numbers are never seen by the teacher, students or parents. Remind allows each class to have their own numeric code, so a group message can be sent. No programming anyone’s cell phone number into your phone! So Easy! WOW…..set it up on day 1!

Padlet is an interactive online learning wall where the user can add images, media, files, pdf’s, and just about anything else they want, to create a unique learning environment for students. Use Padlet with students to look at and discuss benchmark work, invoke discussion, and to brainstorm. A must have interactive online tool.

Edmodo:
Edmodo is a free online collaborative learning space for teachers and students that promotes teaching and learning but is also private and secure. Create a learning space within Edmodo, and within that space or environment you can collaborate, create documents, add many file types, assign and grade class work, give quizzes, and create polls. Find out multiple ways to use Edmodo here. The site is very supportive and easy to use.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that allows you to create online collections of things you like. Organization is easy as well as the ability to follow and share with others. Pinterest is a must have tool that is accessible on all devices!
