Passion for teaching and learning was evident on Monday August 12th at Edcamp CapeCod in beautiful Sandwich Massachusetts. It was just awesome! The participants and organizers of this event were so focused, enthusiastic and excited about the learning that was about to take place! You could feel it when you walked in the door. Within the Edcamp model, the participants always decide what they will learn and share at the beginning of the event. There is no sign up for sessions, vendors, pre-made presentations, handouts or Keynote speakers! Instead, there is an empty board where sessions will eventually be filled in by the participants themselves. The sessions will be about what the participants want to share. Within these sessions there is a wonderful conversation and sharing that takes place about technology, learning, and pedagogy. It’s like no other PD you will ever participate in.
