Snow, Snow, and more Snow! It’s been one heck of a weekend here in New England. Losing the power and the heat was the worst part of it, and at one point our house temperature got down to 46 degrees. Thank goodness we were able to keep up with what was going on around us through Twitter hashtags on our IPhones. Despite the difficulties that many New Englanders experienced during the Blizzard there was a beauty in the Winter Wonderland and quiet accumulation of snow around us. Thundersnow is also pretty cool. My Labs sure had fun romping around in it too!
While catching up on my RSS feeds, news and all, I came across this great Timelapse video by Cory Doctorow that he created outside his Boston Window during the storm. It’s 30 hours of 2013 Blizzard Nemo in one minute.
What a cool thing to do! I envision creating a Timelapse video like this with art shows, sculpture building, or even a drawing or painting. Here is an iPad, iPhone app that will allow you to do just that. It’s called Osnap. There is a paid and free lite version. Can’t wait to try it in my classroom OR…. during the next storm!
