Last weekend, while visiting the Whitney, I was enthralled with how the Whitney Museum presented all the preliminary sketches and drawings that were created in preparation for many of my favorite Edward Hopper paintings. Edward Hopper was such a perfectionist, creating numerous studies for his many works. Nighthawks, the Gas station and Road and Trees are just a few worth mentioning. There was an entire floor of them! Many of the paintings were brought in from other Museums across the US to reunite the drawings with the paintings.
Just Fabulous!
More Edward Hopper here!
